September, 22-24 2015: the 30th session of the European Forestry Commission Working Party on the Management of Mountain Watersheds of FAO held in Pieve Tesino (Italy) was organized in collaboration with MOUNTFOR EFI Project Centre. The event focused on the importance of ecosystem services, and show best practice examples on how to balance this provision and use. September, 7-11 2015: the InVEST Summer School “Mapping and Valuating Ecosystem Services for Better Decision Making” held at the Centre of Studies of Alpine Environment “Lucio Susmel” in San Vito di Cadore (Italy) was organized in collaboration with MOUNTFOR EFI Project Centre. The Summer School provided an intensive training on NatCap Approach and InVEST Models, including practical exercises and application to real case studies with special focus on Terrestrial and Freshwater Ecosystems. Training sessions also provided basic knowledge of other Analysis Tools developed by NatCap (Natural Capital Project) team such as RIOS (Resource Investment Optimization System) and OPAL (Offset Portfolio Analyzer and Locator). 

May, 15 2015: the Core Partners of MOUNTFOR EFI Project Centre signed a Join Research Unit (JRU) for the governance of MOUNTFOR.
